Detailed routine guide

How SONA works—from wet skin to finished routine.

SONA uses a smooth SUS304 stainless-steel working edge and 26,000 high-frequency movements per second. The water layer is essential: it helps the head glide while the movement helps loosen oil and everyday surface residue.

Before you begin

Set up the device correctly.

  • Charge first.A full USB charge takes approximately 1–2 hours. Keep the charging port completely dry.
  • Remove makeup and cleanse.SONA is a focused second step, not a replacement for washing the face.
  • Inspect the skin.Do not use on broken, irritated, sunburned, or recently treated skin.
  • Read the included manual.Use the four labeled modes and silicone cover only as directed for your device.

The complete routine

Eight clear steps.

Keep every pass light and controlled. More pressure does not create a better cleanse.

01

Cleanse normally

Wash away makeup, sunscreen, and obvious surface dirt with your usual cleanser, then rinse.

02

Wet the working area

Apply a generous layer of clean water. The nose, chin, or cheek should remain visibly wet before the blade touches it.

03

Power on and select the setting

For the cleansing step shown here, select Cleaning. Use Lifting, Ion+, and Ion− only according to the included manual.

04

Set a shallow angle

Rest the stainless-steel edge lightly against wet skin. Keep the body tilted so the edge can glide instead of pressing straight down.

05

Glide slowly outward

Move in controlled outward passes across the nose, chin, and cheeks. Avoid the eye area, lips, and any sensitive or damaged spot.

06

Re-wet whenever needed

If the edge begins to drag or the water layer disappears, stop and apply more water before continuing.

07

Rinse and hydrate

When finished, rinse the skin and follow with your preferred hydrating serum or moisturizer.

08

Clean the head—not the body

Power off, wipe the stainless-steel head clean, and dry it. SONA is IPX0: never submerge or rinse the device body.

What happens at the edge

The water layer is part of the mechanism.

The stainless-steel spatula moves across thoroughly wet skin at 26,000 high-frequency movements per second. That controlled movement helps loosen surface oil and residue while the smooth edge glides without grainy scrub particles.
